Intention setting is a simple way to name what you would like to focus on. Keep it within your control, such as making time for a task, listening carefully in a conversation or taking a planned break.
Write one short sentence and connect it to an action. ‘I intend to make time for my project’ could mean putting twenty minutes in your diary. A clear next step gives the intention a practical place in your day.
In the evening, ask what happened and whether the plan was realistic. If the day changed, adjust the next step rather than treating it as a failure. An intention is a direction, not a guarantee. You can start again tomorrow, choose a smaller action or decide that a different focus would suit your current circumstances.
