Group meditation and practising alone offer different formats to consider. Start with what you want from the arrangement: spoken guidance, a booked time, privacy or the freedom to stop and change the exercise.
For a group, ask about the size, location and experience level the session is intended for. Check whether the facilitator explains the practice and whether there is discussion afterward. Ask about seating and participation choices before booking.
At home, you can choose your own time and decide whether to use a recording or a simple exercise. You are also responsible for finding a suitable space and setting aside the time if that is part of your plan.
You can try different formats without committing to one permanently. A group is not automatically more suitable, and practising alone does not require a complicated routine. Choose according to your preferences and the information available, without expecting either option to guarantee a particular result.
