Christmas tarot can be approached as a creative storytelling game. Instead of asking the cards what will happen, use their pictures to invent a festive scene. Perhaps someone has misplaced the pudding, or a very dramatic character is guarding the last roast potato.
Start with the picture
Choose a card and describe only what you can see. Who is present? What objects appear? Turn one detail into the opening line of a fictional Christmas story.
Take turns adding a sentence
If others want to join, each person can add a sentence inspired by another card. Agree that the characters are invented. Nobody has to share private information or have their personality interpreted.
Keep the game clearly playful
This is fiction made from pictures, not a prediction or a reading about the people at the table. Ordinary illustrated cards can work just as well. If someone prefers not to use tarot, let them choose another picture or simply listen to the story.
